The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has taken a historic step to assure COVID-19 vaccine safety by allowing foreign nationals resident in India to register on the CoWin portal to receive the vaccine. They can use their passport as proof of identity while registering on the CoWIN site. They will be assigned a vaccination session once they have registered on this website.
Foreign nationals living in India will be safe thanks to this move. It will also reduce the chances of infection spreading further in India from unvaccinated individuals. It will also ensure that the COVID-19 virus does not spread further.
