Opener Faf Duplessis, who is playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021, has said that MS Dhoni knows what to do in the middle match. It is great to play under his captaincy. Faf Duplessis has also praised the young Rituraj Gaikwad.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener Faf Duplessis has said that captain MS Dhoni knows what he is doing in the field. Du Plessis has also said that playing as a former Indian captain in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is an absolute honor. CSK had scored 220/3 in 20 overs against KKR, which included a brilliant performance from the top order batsmen from Chennai.

Faf Du Plessis remained unbeaten on 95, while Rituraj Gaikwad scored 64 runs off just 42 balls. Captain MS Dhoni also scored 17 runs off eight balls, while Jadeja sent the first and only ball of the innings for a six. After the match, Faf Du Plessis said, "It was the most fluent I've felt so far. I felt that things were starting to get better from the previous match. Tonight was another step. It's about the rhythm of the hand flow." Here the spinners are the best bowlers in the last few matches, even Jadeja bowled well for us."

He added, "Gaikwad is a brilliant young talent. You can feel the first few balls as an edge as a batsman. Beautiful to look at and confident in timing and technique. Good for a little boy. He hits the ball. It's great to play under MS Dhoni's captaincy for a long time. He knows what he is doing, he is happy to play under his captaincy."

Chennai team finished seventh in IPL 2020, but Chennai Super Kings remain on top in IPL 2021. CSK have won three of their first four matches. Chennai lost the first match of the 14th season of IPL and have won three matches in a row since.
