In this conference, several senior government officials from India, US and South Asia, business leaders and experts discussed the role of gender equality in accelerating environmental sustainability efforts and fighting climate crisis.

John Kerry, US President Joe Biden's special envoy for climate-related matters, said on Wednesday that India is a big partner on the global stage in the fight against climate change. Kerry said that the decisive steps that New Delhi will take will now determine what this change will mean for generations to come. He said that the promotion of gender equality and leadership of women is not just about economic growth and sustainable development Not only is it important, but it is also necessary to deal with the crisis of climate change.

Commenting on India-US relations and mutual coordination in the context of tackling climate change in the South Asia Women in Energy (SAWIE) digital program, he said that India is a big partner on the global stage. SAWII is a joint initiative of the Indo-US Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) and the US International Development Agency (USAID) and its first Leadership Summit (Leadership Summit) was held in an online format.
