CRPF Director General Kuldeep Singh, while sharing all the information related to the Naxalite attack on Sukma Bijapur border, said that there is a news about a jawan so far missing that he is in the clutches of the Naxalites.

On the Naxalite attack on Sukma-Bijapur border, CRPF Director General Kuldeep Singh said on Tuesday, 'One of our jawans is still missing. It is rumored that he has been taken hostage by the Naxalites. In view of this, we are preparing for the operation with the jawans and are also investigating this news.' Kuldeep Singh said about the threatened email, 'We have forwarded this mail to agencies in Maharashtra and the Center. They are working on it and we will work as per their instructions. He also said, 'You have also had some reports that probably 28 people of Naxalites have died. It is true that they do not accept the number of people killed, but this number will certainly be more than 28. The number of injured will be more than that.'

The Director General further said, 'Among the martyrs are 8 DRG Bijapur jawans, 6 STF Chhattisgarh jawans, 7 Cobra jawans and 1 Bastaria battalion. A young man is still missing. There are reports that he is in the possession of Naxalites but it has not been confirmed yet. According to him, 'all the people of the village had run away. Naxalites had blocked the houses of the village. From there they continued to attack the security forces. The security forces continued to respond to it. 700–750 Naxals were jointly attacking.

He also told, 'When the soldiers were coming through the jungles by searching, the Naxalites were ambushed near Teklagudam. They suddenly started firing on the soldiers, in response to which our security force retaliated. Many people were injured in this. '
