The PSL 6 Bio bubble Breach The bio-bubble (rules designed to protect players) prepared for the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was broken on several occasions. Security was compromised during the tournament.

An independent inquiry committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the bio-bubble (rules for the defense of players) prepared for the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was broken on several occasions. Security was compromised during the tournament.

The PCB had constituted a two-member committee to investigate PSL-6's breach in the bio-bubble. The committee comprising Dr. Syed Faisal Mahmood and Dr. Salma Muhammad Abbas submitted the final report to PCB Chairman Ahsan Mani on 31 March. The PCB chief will now study the report and share its details with the board members before taking a decision.

PSL was forced to postpone the sixth season as Corona continued to grow. The Pakistan Cricket Board finally called off the tournament on 4 March, following an increase in the number of players being Corona positive.

A source associated with the committee said that no particular person has been convicted in the report. The report confirmed that the bio-bubble had been compromised since the tournament in Karachi. The source said that the committee has also recommended how the board can ensure safe bio-bubble for stakeholders on the resumption of PSL-6 in June.

PSL-6 was postponed after just 10 matches in March due to cases involving Covid-19. According to the source, experts in the report said that some stakeholders gave information about the breakdown of the bio-bubble, but PCB officials did not take it seriously.
