Right-handed batsman Babar Azam played against South Africa in the 78th match at the Super Sports Park here. He scored a brilliant century in this match. This was the 13th century of his ODI career and with this, he has become the first cricketer in the world to score the fastest 13 ODI international centuries. Till now, this record was in the name of Hashim Amla, the legendary South African cricketer, who had scored 13 centuries in his team in 83 innings.

At the same time, at number two was the Indian team's number three specialist Virat Kohli, who scored 13 centuries in 86 innings. However, Babar Azam does not have this world record, as Australian women's team captain Meg Lenning has scored 13 centuries in 76 innings, but in men's international ODI cricket, Babar Azam has the record that he has recorded the fastest 13. The hosts lost 0-1 in the three-match ODI series after Pakistan won the first ODI against South Africa. The second match of the series will be played at the Wanders Stadium in Johannesburg. This match will be played on April 4. At the same time, the third and last ODI will be played at Centurion on 7 April. A series of four T20 International matches will also be played between the two teams, which will be played from 10 March.
