DRDO prepares lightest bulletproof jacket, meets standards

DRDO said that the technique used to prepare this light jacket has reduced the weight of the jacket from 10.4 kg to 9 kg.
The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed a new and light bulletproof jacket for the Indian Army, which weighs only nine kilograms.
While giving this information on Thursday, DRDO said that this jacket has been developed by his Defense Laboratory and Stores Research and Development Establishment (DMSRDE), Kanpur.
The organization said that this front hard armor panel (FHAP) jacket was tested at the Terminal Ballistics Research Lab in Chandigarh, where it has met the relevant BIS standards. DRDO said that the technique used to prepare this light jacket has reduced the weight of the jacket from 10.4 kg to 9 kg.
