New Zealand team batsman Devon Conway played an unbeaten 99 in the first match of the five-match T20 series against Australia. R Ashwin has said that he was late for only four days.

Veteran Indian off-spinner R Ashwin has shown his comic side once again on Monday, as he strongly commented on New Zealand batsman Devon Conway. However, R Ashwin did not joke on Devon Conway, but praised him as a funny thing. Indeed, Devon Conway played a stormy innings in the first match of the T20 International series against Australia.

New Zealand's team had three wickets for 19 runs. Conway, who came to bat after this, played a stormy innings of 99 not out from 59 balls and brought the team score to 184. However, he was unbeaten on 99 and missed his first century. Devon Conway, 29, remained unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 auction. Devon Conway included himself in the IPL auction at a base price of 5 million.

On the other hand, R Ashwin has said in a funny tone that the 99-run innings you played was delayed for four days. R Ashwin tweeted, "Devon Conway is just four days late, but what a great innings." R Ashwin has also said this about Devon Conway, because the auction took place on 18 February and he played a strong innings on 22 February. Ashwin meant to say that if he had played this innings on February 18, he would have got a buyer.

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first, but the team suffered an initial setback. Despite this, the team scored a score of 184 runs. On the other hand, in response to 185 runs, the Australian team piled on 131 runs in 17.3 overs and lost the match by 53 runs. Many legendary players, including Australian captain Aaron Finch, failed and this led to the defeat of the Kangaroo team.
