West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 Bengal may be declared on March 3 or 4. The reason for this is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to attend various government programs in Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry till 2 March.
Until now, it was expected that after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bengal on February 22, the assembly elections could be announced. But according to sources, it may be announced on March 3 or 4.
The reason for this is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend various government programs in Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry till March 2. During this time he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects.
Assembly elections are due in all these states. In such a situation, when the first elections are announced, the Model Code will be implemented, so that the inauguration and foundation stone of those projects will not be possible. In such a situation, only after March 2, the dates of assembly elections in five states will be announced.
PM Modi will also address the rally at Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata on March 7, though that is not a government event. Therefore, assembly elections can be announced before that. PM Modi will be attending the initiation ceremony of IIT Kharagpur on 23 February.
Earlier on Friday, he also attended the initiation ceremony of Vishwabharati University. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also involved in the inauguration and foundation laying of various government projects before the announcement of the election.
