37-year-old Dhammika Prasad, who is waiting to return to the team of the last 6 years, has said goodbye to international cricket. Prasad, who played 25 Tests, 24 ODIs and 1 T20 for Sri Lanka, had decided to retire on Thursday.
Veteran bowler of Sri Lanka cricket team, Dhammika Prasad, has said goodbye to international cricket. The 37-year-old last played a match for his team in 2015. Prasad made the official announcement of retirement, which was also confirmed by the Sri Lanka Cricket Board. On Thursday itself, Dhammika gave this information to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.

Prasad said, "I enjoyed every single moment. Marvan Attapattu was the person who called me to SSC. I got a lot of support from people like Michael Di Joessa and Mahendra Halangoda. I have to thank many people, God, parents, my wife, my school, all the coaches, pitch curators, players with the team, my supporters and of course the media."
