The Indian team is no longer far from victory in the second Test match being played between India and England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The game continues on the fourth day of the match.

The second match of the four-match Test series is being played in Chennai under the ICC World Test Championship between hosts India and England. The Indian team has a heavy upper hand in this match being played at Chepak Stadium, Chennai. 

Today i.e. on Tuesday 16 February, the fourth day of the match and the fourth day of the game continues. England, chasing a target of 482 runs in the second innings, England have 7 wickets in 49 overs, while scoring 116 runs. Captain Joe Root is still at the crease.

England got their first blow on the fourth day in the form of Daniel Lawrence, who scored 26 runs and was stumped off Rishabh Pant off R Ashwin. In this way England suffered a fourth setback. R Ashwin implicated Ben Stokes for the tenth time in Test cricket. Stokes scored 8 runs and was caught by Kohli at the ball of Ashwin. In this way, half of England's team returned to the pavilion.

Sixth success was brought to India by Akshar Patel. He got Oli Pope caught by Ishant Sharma on a personal score of 12 runs. Talking about this match, Indian team captain Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first. In the first innings, India had scored 161 runs in the first innings of Rohit Sharma and then Ajinkya Rahane's 67 and Rishabh Pant's unbeaten 58 runs scored 329 runs. 

In response, the England team collapsed for 134 runs. In this way, India got a valuable lead of 195 runs. In this way, India played ahead, scoring 286 runs in their second innings on the basis of R Ashwin's century and Virat Kohli's half-century and set a target of 482 runs in front of England.
